Paul W. Painter III is Savannah native and graduate of Benedictine Military School. He received his B.B.A. from the University of Georgia and his J.D. from Mercer University.

Between college and law school, Mr. Painter served five years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy, attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He deployed in support of Operation Nobel Eagle, Operation Enduring Freedom, and participated in the initial invasion in Iraq.

After law school, Mr. Painter began practicing with a defense firm in Savannah where he focused on Tractor Trailer litigation. However, he decided that he would rather represent individuals, so he joined the Tate Law Group where he handled a variety of premises liability, auto accidents, tractor trailer wrecks, and wrongful deaths.

He joined Harris, Penn & Lowry LLP in 2009 where he focuses on tractor trailer litigation, product defects, catastrophic automobile accidents, and premises liability.

Mr. Painter is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association of Justice. He is the Secretary of the Savannah Trial Lawyers Association and founder of the Young Savannah Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Painter is the chairman of the GTLA Fall Legal Education Workshop in Savannah and the Director of that organization's Savannah New Member's Division. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Mercer Law School Alumni Association and the Benedictine Military School Alumni Association.
