Steve Lowry has dedicated his professional life to helping individuals in need during difficult times. Steve takes the time and spends the effort in each case not only to create an overall theme for the case but to learn the details and nuances that can make a good case into a great case. Steve's clients benefit greatly from his attention to detail and tireless work ethic.

Steve was born in Dayton, Ohio and raised in Columbia, Maryland . He began his legal career in Atlanta, Georgia working with the late Joe Freeman. While many of Steve's clients at that time were insurance companies and large corporations, he found his true calling in representing a 4 year old girl who suffered 3rd degree burns over 70% of her body due to a defective lighter and mattress. Additionally, Steve helped represent over 500 individuals and families who each lost thousands of dollars in damage to their homes due to defective siding. After that, Steve decided to represent individuals and small businesses exclusively.

Shortly thereafter, Steve and his wife, Leilani, moved to Savannah, Georgia and Steve joined the nationally recognized firm of Middleton, Mathis, Adams & Tate. Steve focused on litigation involving defective products, serious injury claims, class actions and insurance litigation. Among others, Steve was involved in lawsuits regarding defective pharmaceutical drugs and he was part of a team of lawyers that represented World War II prisoners of war that were used as slave labor by various Japanese Corporations.

Steve left the Middleton firm with two partners that started Carter & Tate, P.C. While at Carter & Tate, Steve was involved in numerous automotive defect suits, including SUV rollovers, defective seatbelts, crashworthiness, and post collision fuel-fed fires. Steve also represented many victims of trucking accidents, industrial site and construction accidents, defective roadways, consumer fraud, drunk driving accidents, nursing home negligence, professional malpractice and other seriously injured individuals. Steve also represented small businesses in various civil disputes.

In 2006, Steve formed Harris Penn & Lowry, LLP with Jeff Harris and Darren Penn. Steve continues to focus his practice on representing seriously injured individuals with an emphasis on automotive defects, trucking accidents, industrial and construction site accidents, aviation collisions, business torts and consumer fraud. The firm views every case as unique and pays close attention to detail in preparation for presenting the case in trial.

Steve graduated cum laude in the top five (5) percent of his class from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College, the top environmental law school in the United States. While at Lewis & Clark, Steve received his environmental law certificate and was an associate editor of the Law Review. Steve received dual undergraduate degrees in History and Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
